Leading IT specialist Croft Technology is holding an event next month to demonstrate how emerging technologies can be used to deliver benefits to North East businesses.
The event, in association with global communication provider Mitel, is taking place on Wednesday 14th May 2008 at St James’ Park from 9.30am until 1.30pm. It will examine how recent developments in business communication technology – Unified Communications - are about to take a significant step forward and how these changes could effect businesses in the region.
Peter Macdonald, Technology Director at Croft, said: “It is important that businesses understand Unified Communications and how the technology can really benefit them.
“Unified Communications is a rapidly growing business trend which tears down the barriers between telecommunications and computing. By integrating these systems it enables businesses in the North East to communicate more effectively, work more efficiently and reduce overheads.”
The technology gives business a huge advantage both in and out of the office. This can involve the combination of services including fixed and mobile voice, email, instant messaging, fax, audio, video, web conferencing and white-boarding.
During the event there will also be demonstrations of some of the emerging technologies including business messaging, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), instant messaging, video conferencing, and voice driven email.
